Stephen Smith managed the engineering, installation and startup of a 3MW HCPV system in Tracy, CA for a former employer.

 

As project manager, Stephen provided the following services:

  • Compiled the interconnection application and study documents
  • Interacted with the utility to gain project approval
  • Selected equipment required for interconnection
  • Managed internal and external design and engineering resources

  • Conducted an EPC RFQ process
  • Assembled a team of subcontractors
  • Managed CEQA and Conditional Use Permit processes

 

In addition, Stephen secured the first Conditional Use Permit for a commercial solar facility in Alameda County, CA and reduced project interconnection costs by 40%.
