This project is California’s first tracking carport.
Stephen Smith managed the engineering, installation and startup of a tracking carport project in Fremont, CA for a former employer.
As project manager for this project, Stephen provided the following services:
- Conducted the site audit including grid connection and soil/ground conditions
- Managed internal and external design and engineering resources
- Interacted with the client to revise and complete a permit ready system design
- Achieved the project’s building permit
- Conducted an EPC RFQ process
- Assembled a team of subcontractors
- Managed the schedule and budget for the construction process
- Managed onsite construction
- Energized the system upon construction completion
